Ranchi is a place which is popular for its water supply from its three or four dams. Here, in this post, I am describing the beauty of one of the dams called Dhurva Dam.
Location of Dhurva Dam, Ranchi - This dam is one of the most popular dam in Jharkhand just because of its scenic beauty. This dam is located in the Dhurva region in Ranchi. Going by the accurate thing, this dam is situated about some 1 kilometre from the proper Dhurva region, but then we call it the Dhurva dam commonly.
Description of Dhurva Dam, Ranchi - The Dhurva dam is a really beautiful dam, where water does not look like water but something more than just water, something like a silver liquid, which is precious. Yes, truly this liquid is precious to all of us when we know that in Ranchi there are so many places where there is heavy scarcity of water and many poor people in the suburban areas have lost their lives just because of this cause of unavailability of water. However, I would like to describe how nice this place is in my own style.
This place is a place where you would find one thing all the time that is called peace. People like me loved to go there, sit for some time, do some snapping and some capturing and then go back. There you can see people washing their clothes, which sometimes in not good according to me. The reason to this is that this water is supplied to many houses in Ranchi for drinking purpose too. I could see the water was so pure, so clean that you would love to be a fish and be inside it all the time. When the sun shines on the water, it looks magical.
The government is making a small fun park at the beginning of the dam where you can go, sit, play, have your time and then go back home. This is a well protected area. On the day, when there was election in Ranchi, I went there and I was checked by the army men. Though it is a big of interruption, but then I was really proud to be a part of the safety of my country. All around, at the shore of the dam, are stones which get really hot on the day time as the sun shines on it and believe me, you won’t like to step on it anytime on a summer day because it will burn your feet.
On the other side of the dam is a long area of forest and trees and plain lands, which really looks so beautiful that you would wonder and realize that this is the beauty of India. I was myself astonished to see the beauty. Then moving forth towards the dam gate, you can see the damn date which looks cool. There on the bridge, you can stand and see the around things. Moreover, you can walk down and see the damn gate from very close. Moreover, you can discover that there when you shout, the sounds echo. It was really a fun time for me to be there and spend some time with my brother once and my cousin sister once. I would really love to go there whenever I get time to do so ever.
